Meditation has the power to take you inward and help you choose the vibrational frequency that you want to be on to feel good and relax on your everyday life.
Often, we give ourselves excuses of time and space to avoid taking the time to meditate. In this time of confinement, we might have realized that more though than time, we need more discipline. Now, that a word I never liked, so let’s call it “training”. Why training? Because like all muscle in our body, like everything else it might take time to know how to meditate, and funny enough I will even say it take time to Unlearn how not to meditate. Because naturally as children we know how to quiet the mind, but we unlearn it with our busy life in society which seems to be asking so much from us and our mind.
How to start?
Personally, I loved to start with short guided meditation, or just by focusing shortly on the breath. At the beginning you can put an alarm on for 5 minutes then 10 and then you can increase the time as it feels more and more comfortable with keeping your eyes closed and quieting your mind. This mind of yours will try to trick you by sending you information, thoughts, fears, and that is totally ok, watch your thoughts and let them go. Just be the observer.
When to meditate?
The best times to meditate are early mornings before you get up and later at night before you go to bed.
In the morning:
It sets your mood for the day; you feel calmer and more peaceful. It will help you feeling more alert and awake and will boost your energy. The endorphin released while you meditate are great for your emotional wellbeing. It gives you right from the beginning of the day a sensation of ME -TIME which may not be happening much.
I love meditating in the morning because sometimes I have difficulties with managing my time, I have the sensation of “over and done with’ the good stuff for myself!!!
In the evening:
“Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious.“–Thomas Edison
The night time meditation goal is to direct your subconscious mind to create the outcomes you seek. Additionally, you want to tap into your subconscious mind to unlock connections and solutions to your problems and projects.
Also because when we are asleep our mind don’t stop, it is still rearranging the information received during the day, working as a filter and orchestrating believes, ideas, future plan… Meditating before sleep and adding some positive affirmations to it will help the mind to focus on what we want and generated for us in our everyday life.
How can meditation change your life?
Meditation will take you back to the core vibration that is unchallenged by beliefs that are keeping you from what you want. It will take you to the vibrational frequency that your inner being is.
It is really helpful to find something you can focus upon that there is not much to think about, even ticking of the clock, or dripping of the faucet or you want your eyes to be open (but it is better for them to be closed) a flickering of a flame. It does not matter what it is if it has your attention. Find something that is easy to focus upon, and that is not very thought provoking. Just focus on it until you receive the sign that you quiet your mind. That sign is a physical, visceral feeling of detachment from this time and place. It feels like numbness, it feels like floating, it feels like suspension of gravity, it feels like detachment.
Why is meditation so important and beneficial?
Meditation will take you back to your primal, grounded, to the very base, the core of you, vibrational center, to the goodness that is you, to the vibrational reality that is you, to your inner being to what you are wanting.
Besides what is happening with your mind, you are allowing thoughts to turn to things, your physical apparatus will be rejuvenated, and you are in the replenishing mode.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that morning meditation has changed my life. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.
With Love always
